What is the "Make a Donation" button for?

I frequently get asked if people can donate to my website to support the costs associated with running this site or to support my work.
The donate button allows you to pick any amount you wish. Or, if you see me at an event, I like good white wine, dark chocolate, and roast beast. :-)
